On the evening of Tuesday, 4th December, the day the government was plunged into shame and defeat, the people of South Swindon came together in hope and unity.
The Swindon Labour Group is delighted to hear that the bid for Heritage Action Zone status for the Railway Village and Railway Works area has been successful.
The Labour Group strongly object to the Council’s proposal to scrap plastics recycling collection. When Swindon already has a terrible recycling rate, we think this decision is a further backward step.
Nadine Watts was re-elected as Councillor for Old Town & East Wichel in the local elections on 3 May with an increased majority and 50% of the vote.
Councillors have now been given further information about the essential carriageway works to Upham Road being carried out by the Council this summer.
