Corn Exchange Development Makes Progress

Old Town Councillors, Nadine Watts and Jane Milner-Barry are pleased to report that the contracts for the Corn Exchange were exchanged before Christmas.  These are exciting times ahead for Old Town.

Old Town Councillor, Nadine Watts, said:

“It is great that progress is being made with the redevelopment of the Corn Exchange. I have been in contact with Steve Rosier, the developer, who has informed me that the design team has been assembled and is meeting this week to start the detailed planning application work.

The order has been placed for site clearance work to start in the next couple of weeks. Also, a road closure order has been submitted to close ‘The Planks’. When approved, new hoardings will be erected.

We look forward to consultation with residents and a planning application being submitted in the near future.”
