After 11 years of Conservative rule in Swindon, it’s hard to blame someone else for Swindon’s problems. That is exactly what the Conservatives are trying to do right now. They have let Swindon down, time-and-time again. They have ruined our road network and have allowed the woeful lack of graffiti, litter, hedge and grass cutting services to turn our neighbourhoods into an eyesore.
After 11 years with a Tory council, it’s hard to blame someone else for Swindon’s problems
I want to stand up for you and if I am elected I am prepared to be held to account by local people. I am a long-standing Swindon resident and have been a hard working councillor for 15 years. During this time I have carried out senior roles on the council and served as Mayor. I have many interests including local history, railways and reading; being an energetic grandfather also keeps my feet firmly on the ground. In my career in public service I have held several senior positions which help me to cut through the “red tape” and get down to the “brass tacks”!
I work hard and do not shrink back from speaking up for local people, fairness and Swindon.
