What do you want: a gridlocked Swindon or a transformed Swindon?

I have a long and proven track record of campaigning against the unbridled development of Swindon and want to see a transformed Swindon fit for purpose in the 21st Century.

There is a general feeling, from people I speak to, that Swindon is full up. Yet the Conservatives are allowing even more development with the planned Eastern Villages. Thousands of new houses are set to besiege the area where you live on all sides. People are also fed up with piecemeal development being done on a large scale with little, or no, road or community infrastructure. I accept that people need homes, but not without infrastructure, such as roads, schools, GP surgeries, dentists and community facilities.

Steve Wakefield: "I want to see a transformed Swindon fit for purpose in the 21st Century"

I have a long and proven track record of campaigning against the unbridled development of Swindon and want to see a transformed Swindon fit for purpose in the 21st Century; not snarled up with continual roadworks and grinding to a halt on an almost daily basis.
