This week has seen many areas of Mannington and Western ward, including Weatlea Park and Toothill getting a much needed tidying up.

Councillor Steve Wakefield and the West Swindon Locality team mobilised members of the community, supported by Wiltshire Probation Service's Community Payback Team, to clear overgrown vegetation in parts of the ward and clear away litter.

Councillor Steve Wakefield (Mannington and Western) said "The week of action has been ongoing over the last 7 days, local, people and agencies have been working together to improve the environment they live in. I am grateful to those who have made the effort this week in all weathers to pick up litter, and cut back hedging on pathways, in local parks and open spaces."
