Steve has lived in the ward since 1959. He has served as a Councillor since 1978 when as a Labour Councillor he fought the then Labour controlled Council to take action to combat condensation . Steve has a track record of putting local people first . Steve continues to believe that decent and affordable housing is key to building strong communities and allowing individuals their families to flourish and strongly supports the Swindon Housing Action Campaign. Steve is a board member of the local Cooperative group and strongly believes that a mutually run society where the needs of people are central provides a much more human and humane way forward.
