While there is little official news, we can assure residents that everyone – from the Post Office to Swindon Council – wants to keep a post office branch in Eldene and that discussions are underway to achieve precisely this.
It would appear that the Co-op will be pulling out of the old Eldene Centre ahead of the termination of it's lease. With the remaining retailers likely to follow soon afterwards, your local councillors will be letting the Council know about residents' concerns over the site's security and a possible increase in vandalism.
