I have lived in the ward since 1959 and was educated at local schools before becoming the first of my family to go to University graduating with a degree in Economics and Government.
I worked for a Research Council for 40 years leaving as Head of Personnel. I have been a member of a Trade Union all my working life, and I believe they play a vital part in positive industrial relations.
I currently serve as an elected member of the Board of Midcounties Cooperative. I believe the Cooperative movement which originated in the UK is steeped in British values of fairness and community. This should be the vehicle to build a sustainable future for us all.
