The Rushey Platt residents have been proved right and we now know drivers are speeding along Redpost Drive at an average speed of 38mph. After a public meeting residents expressed a preference for a mini roundabout as a solution to reduce speeds and provide an exit from Juno Way.

We have been told the speeding traffic is one reason why a mini roundabout can’t be installed. This does not make sense to many because we know there are plenty of mini roundabouts on 40mph road junctions in Swindon. There is no doubt that Redpost Drive benefits many, but that should not be to the detriment of existing local residents. Further speed controls have been suggested, all we are seeking is fair treatment for Rushey Platt residents.
