After being rebuffed again by the council we received this appeal from a RNIB campaigner on behalf of the visually impaired people of Swindon –

“I write on behalf of visually impaired people who are dismayed at not being able to use the road on the corner between the Swindon Library and Morrison’s at the top of Commercial Road.

Those of us that have tried the crossing have been scared because we have not been able to make eye contact with drivers and have little or no faith in drivers who cannot understand or appreciate our blindness – some drivers are not slowing down.”

Seeing sense is not the Conservative Administrations way, they are only in touch with their tarnished reputations rather than the residents who they are meant to serve. When will they listen?
