Work will begin on the new community centre over the coming weeks. The new centre is expected to be completed by September.
Councillor Nadine Watts (Old Town) is pleased that the re-development of Christ Church Community Centre has begun, with the demolition of the old building now complete.
The building, which has been central life in Old Town life for decades, was attended by Old Town Councillor Nading Watts.
