Public exhibition on plans for supermarket at new district centre in Middle Wichel

There will be two public exhibition events taking place next week regarding proposals for a new supermarket as part of the district centre for Middle Wichel.

The exhibitions will be held in East Wichel Primary and Ridgeway School, Wroughton. These will be manned by Kilo (supermarket developer) and their design team, but officers from the Local Highway Authority will also be on hand to discuss potential road improvements on Mill Lane linked to the supermarket.

Cllr Nadine Watts (Old Town) who will be attending the exhibition on Thursday at East Wichel Primary School urged interested members of the public to attend the exhibitions "Please come along to one of the public exhibitions next week, to have a look at the draft proposals for the food store at the new district centre in Middle Wichel, ask any questions and please pass on your comments.  It is a chance for you to have your say."

  • Thursday 14th Feb (3.30-6.00pm)           East Wichel Primary School
  • Friday 15th Feb (9.30am – 1.00pm)        Ridgeway School, Wroughton

Members of the project team will be available at the exhibitions to help explain the proposals and answer any questions and comments forms will be available at the exhibitions.  All comments will be considered by the project team prior to the submission of the application.

Local Highway Authority officers will be available at the exhibitions to help explain the draft proposals for a scheme including speed control measures and improvements of Mill Lane to facilitate the supermarket.
