Police Crime Advice Regarding Car Break-ins in on Roads in the Old Town on the 28th and 29th January

Overnight Monday 28th & Tuesday 29th January a number of cars parked on the roads of Marlborough Lane, Evelyn Street, Hesketh Crescent, The Planks, The Weavers, Westlecot Road and Commonweal Road in the Old Town area were broken into. Windows were smashed and in most cases property removed from inside. Unfortunately the time for these offences cannot be tied down further by police other than between 10pm and 7am at the moment.

Residents are asked to ensure that property is removed from the inside of your vehicles and wherever possible park them in garages or on driveways.

Police patrols of the these areas are being increased but police ask that residents are vigilant and report anyone they have concerns about.
