On Tuesday 14th June, Swindon’s Planning Committee will be considering the planning application for 61 elderly person apartments on the former Stagecoach depot site. Everyone who is affected should come to this meeting as either an interested observer or as someone who would like to address the committee on this issue.
As your local councillor, I “called in” this application on behalf of residents.
I will also be attending next Tuesday’s meeting and I will be making the point that I would like to see the redevelopment of the former bus depot site, however it is crucial that this redevelopment does not detrimentally impact on the site’s heritage assets, nor harm the character and appearance of the Prospect Place Conservation Area.
If you would like to make comment on this application at next week’s Planning Committee Meeting, please do contact me using the contact details below and I will ensure your name is registered with the Planning Committee clerk.
If you cannot attend the meeting, then you can also contact me with your comments and I will ensure the committee are aware of the points you would like to make.
Next Tuesday’s Planning Committee Meeting will be starting at 6pm and will be in the Council Chamber in the Council’s Civic Offices, Euclid Street.
Please do also also contact me regarding any other council-related matters that I might be able to help with.
