You may have seen the article in the Swindon Advertiser regarding the proposed redevelopment in Old Town. Many local residents have been in contact and we share the concerns raised about a development that, in our opinion, has no possible place in Old Town.
Update 14/03/2016: We are pleased to see that the developer has withdrawn the current plans but having submitted such a proposal in the first instance suggest that we will have to remain vigilant with regards future proposals.

We feel that the press release is provocative, the developer's aspiration misguided and the proposal out of touch with local opinion. Many found the suggestion reported in the article that Old Town is “the poor neighbour of New Town” particularly divisive.
