Old Town Labour Candidate, Bob Cretchley and local Councillor, Nadine Watts, have welcomed work scheduled to be carried out by the Council to construct a new flight of steps and an improved ramp that links the Mill Lane /Wichelstowe bridleway to the old railway line.

Old Town Labour Candidate Bob Cretchley, said: “This work is being carried out because the steps and ramp that link these two paths are in a poor state and are difficult to use, particularly when conditions are muddy. This project is due to cost £21.5k and we’ve been told by council officers that it will be completed before this summer. We hope access points between these paths will be more accessible for local residents.”
