Old Town Festival starts with a Caribbean themed event

The Old Town Festival starts with a Caribbean themed event in the Commonweal Marquee on The Lawn, on Friday 27 June.

On Saturday 28 the Family Day on The Lawn starts at 10am with the Dog Show (and continues until 4pm). In Wood Street from 10 – 11am, the festival opening events take place and Family Fancy Dress Fun Run. In the afternoon of Saturday 28 June on the Lawn there are a host of stalls to visit including knights in shining armour, the Armed Forces static displays and community singing and dancing in the Commonweal Marquee. Entertainment on 28 June and 5 July are free.

In the evening of 28 June there are great bands performing in the Commonweal Marquee. On Saturday 5 July the festival concludes with a pop concert at The Bowl, Town Gardens.
