Cllr Nadine Watts welcomes this proposal for a 20mph speed limit on Celsus Grove, Angel Ridge.  It brings it in line with other roads in the estate.

Old Town Councillor Nadine Watts welcomes this proposal for a 20mph speed limit on Celsus Grove, Angel Ridge.  It brings it in line with other roads in the estate.  Plans are available at the Council’s One Stop Shop, Wat Tyler House, Euclid Street, Swindon.  The deadline for any objections is 29 May.

Swindon Borough Council’s Highways Department have outlined the reasons for the proposal as follows:

• The Introduction of a 20mph speed limit from the junction of Okus Road for the full length of Celsus Grove.
• The reason for the Order is to introduce a 20 mph speed limit on Celcus Grove in addition to the other roads which are already the same speed limit.
• The order is proposed to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using this road and to prevent the likelihood of any such danger arising and in addition to improve the environment for the local community.
