After requests from parents and school children at Toothill Primary School in the Mannington and Western ward Labour Councillors have arranged for a new crossing to be put in place outside the school’s main pedestrian entrance.
Previously children and parents had no designated crossing, having to walk through muddy grass verges which was anything but ideal.
The new crossing has been welcomed by parents who are pleased that there is now a safer location for their children to cross the road.
