Abdul, Steve and I recently carried out a litter pick in the estate adjacent to New College. It was a positive morning spent improving the local area and we thank those residents who joined us. The litter pick was supported by Swindon Borough Council as part of the Great British Spring Clean.
Councillors organised the litter pick after residents raised concerns about the amount of litter on the estate. We have been in contact the local Housing Association and the Council to raise this concern and will continue to monitor the level of service in the area.
Residents elsewhere in the Walcot and Park North area who know of other places in need of a tidy up or would like to organise their own clean-up are encouraged to get in touch with us. We can organise equipment and collection of the rubbish collected.
