My name is Neil Heavens and I have lived in Freshbrook and Grange Park for nearly 18 years. A Chartered Accountant and Tax Adviser, I have spent the last 6 years developing an independent accountancy practice in the Swindon area.
I have been a member of the Labour Party since 1987 and fully subscribe to socialist principles of fairness, equality and social justice. An environmentalist by conviction and practice, I choose not to drive a car and prefer to rely upon cycling or public transport to go about my business.
As someone who lives locally, I will work hard to improve the cleanliness and appearance of the local area, campaign against encroaching development and defend public services against severe Conservative cuts.
