It is fantastic to see that the new play area in East Wichel has now opened. Many people have already used and enjoyed this new play park. There is a lot of open space and some great new equipment.

The badger deterrents have now been installed. Hopefully, these will be successful in keeping the badgers off the turf.
I have heard a lot of positive feedback already. One thing that has been mentioned is that a toddler swing is needed. I have asked the Council to look into getting one.
The official opening of the play area is planned for 31st October to tie in with the Halloween party put on by the East Wichel Community Association. More details to follow.
