Following the public consultation events in February 2013, the Local Highway Authority have been preparing a scheme for Mill Lane. The scheme is due to start in mid June.
Cllr Nadine Watts (Old Town) said, "It is good that these improvements will benefit both drivers and pedestrians using the new District Centre. Mill Lane was in need of being resurfaced as it has been in a poor state of repair for a while. It is regrettable that the section of Mill Lane from Wharf Road to Foxham Road will be closed for 8 months. I am sure that Highways will do everything they can to try to reduce any inconvenience caused. I will keep you updated when I know an exact date for the road closure."
