Cllr Jane Milner-Barry and I would like to inform you that the Council are proposing to take the attached report to planning committee on 12 July. The report seeks to update two Local Development Orders.
The report identifies 2 additional sites for solar arrays for inclusion in the Solar Arrays Local Development Order. One of the sites is a former tip next to Nationwide Building Society HQ (this is not the part of the tip that has been converted to public open space). The Local Development Order would grant planning permission upfront for solar arrays (a small solar farm) in this location.
The proposal would be subject to consultation prior to adoption.
