Labour In Battlebus Comes to Swindon

It was great to welcome the Labour In Battlebus to Swindon last week.  The bus visited the Outlet Village on Sunday, and onboard were Chris Bryant MP, Seema Malhotra MP, Clare Moody MEP and Nathaniel Parker, the celebrated actor who has starred in Inspector Lynley and played King Henry VIII in Wolf Hall.

After some rousing, impassioned speeches on the importance of voting Remain to the local members who had congregated outside STEAM and the chance for people to take selfies with the Labour In bus, the group made their way over to the Outlet Village to speak to members of the public.
The reaction was very positive with people happy to stop and chat, and plenty of people confirming that they would be voting Remain on the 23rd June.

The team on the bus used the opportunity to stock up on food at the market before they moved on to Bristol for the next leg of the tour.

Chris Bryant and Seema Malhota were delighted to meet some of the new Labour Councillors who were recently elected to Swindon Borough Council as well as carrying out a number of local media interviews.

The Swindon Advertiser covered the story here.
