Jim Grant, Leader of Swindon Labour Group, said:

"Iain Duncan Smith's resignation must prompt an urgent re-think from Justin Tomlinson on the cruel and pernicious cuts that are planned for disabled people.

Justin Tomlinson has made the case for these cuts, and in the wake of George Osborne's budget falling apart and Mr Duncan Smith's departure, Mr Tomlinson should also resign his post over the handling of these measures."
