Eastcott Councillor, Paul Dixon, has welcomed Swindon Council’s rejection of two planning applications in Eastcott Ward, one in Belle Vue Road and another on Crombey Street.
A planning application had been submitted to convert 44 Belle Vue Road in to a 7 bed House of Multiple Occupation (HMO) with a rear extension to the property. This application had followed a previous application on this property for a 9 bed HMO, which was refused on planning grounds. And a planning application had also been submitted to convert 51 Crombey Street in to a 7 bed House of Multiple Occupation (HMO).
Both applications were rejected under delegated planning powers because of a lack of parking capacity and overdevelopment in the area.
Cllr Dixon has thanked residents who got in touch with him expressing their views on these applications.
