Labour calls for Regent Circus money to be spent in Eastcott

Eastcott residents are having to suffer the disruption to traffic in the ward and I believe this money should compensate them.

There is nearly £190k of developers money unspent from the Regent Circus redevelopment. Labour candidate, Emma Bushell, is calling on the council to ensure that this money is spent in Eastcott. Emma says, "Eastcott residents are having to suffer the disruption to traffic in the ward and I believe this money should compensate them."

In recent times Eastcott has rarely been the recipient of developer contributions for large scale projects, whereas Croft school was paid for out of money from the Northern sector housing development.

Emma says, "This is just another way that the council has neglected Eastcott over the years. This money can be spent on transport related schemes for the benefit of the community. I propose more 20 mph zones near to local schools, more money for improved bus services, and to improve the cycle paths in the ward."
