I have lived in Swindon since 1985, and my children went to school here. I am involved with the Pipers Area Residents’ Association and many other local groups.
I am standing because I want to be one of the people fighting for Swindon’s public services in the face of central government pressure to close them down or give them away.
Libraries, bus services, public parks – they are all at risk, and the closure of the children’s centres is a great loss to our communities.
I love living in Old Town and hope very much to have the opportunity to work closely with Councillor Nadine Watts in the interests of everyone living in Old Town and East Wichel.
