Introducing Cherry Lewis, Your Labour candidate in Wroughton and Wichelstowe

I have been a resident of Wroughton for 14 years.  My children have grown up here, attended the local schools and benefited from the many activities and facilities available both in Wroughton and in Swindon.  I am very appreciative of all that my family have gained growing up in this community, and I want to protect those benefits for all residents of Wroughton.

Wroughton is a thriving local community, and I am keen to ensure that our views on developments, services and facilities are represented effectively on Swindon Council.  At the moment I would be particularly interested to hear the opinion of Wroughton residents regarding the proposed solar park at Common Farm.

Education is a passion to me, both as a teacher and a parent and I want to make sure that our schools and pre-school groups continue to provide excellent education to all in Wroughton.
Cherry says ‘I have been fortunate enough to benefit from excellent care under the NHS during a period of serious illness.  It is extremely important to me to protect both our local services in Wroughton and the NHS overall.  I am fully supportive of Labour’s pledge to ensure that everyone has access to their local GP within forty eight hours.’
