We will be working with the Residents's Association and the Locality team to keep pressure on the Council and Environment Agency.
Residents in Benwell Close and Moresby Close in Westlea have been affected by flooding in recent years, and residents were keen to ensure that the Council worked with the Environment Agency to limit the risk of further flooding.
By getting the Environment Agency reps to meet with residents,the Westlea Resident's Association, the Council's Streetsmart and Highways teams and the local MP, we have been able to put in place a joined-up approach that will allow the flood risk to be mitigated.
We will be working with the Residents's Association and the Locality team to keep pressure on the Council and Environment Agency, and seeing if there is grant funding available for residents to take further action to protect their homes.
