Fay Howard: Labour’s councillor for LEPS

I have been a nurse at GWH for 23 years and am also a warden for a sheltered housing scheme. I enjoy being a Councillor for Liden, Eldene and Park South, attending community meetings SWAP and the Forum in Parks, and ERA in Eldene.

I have been a nurse at GWH for 23 years and am also a warden for a sheltered housing scheme. I enjoy being a Councillor for Liden, Eldene and Park South, attending community meetings SWAP and the Forum in Parks, and ERA in Eldene. I get involved with litter picks across the ward. I am a contact if you'd like to have the equipment to litter pick in your own area. I pride myself in helping the individual and seeing things improve whether it's potholes along Eldene Drive or Thornbridge Avenue, concerns regarding green space in Sedgebrook or Amersham Road or a housing concern in White Edge Moor, Collingsmead or Cranmore Avenue. If it matters to you, it matters to me. If I can't help I am honest and will tell you so. It may take a while but I don't give up, I'm still seeking the £4000 to get the yellow lines off Whitbourne Avenue.

My particular interests are our very young and our older residents. At these times in our lives we rely on the local services more than at other times. This is the reason I'm passionate about libraries, children's centres and our country parks. We need to protect these in order to enable everyone to have access to the things that they need to stay healthy, learn, grow and develop whatever their age. Having raised my own children here, I'm now an empty-nester with more time to keep involved in our community.
