Emma Bushell: Confusion Over Recycling Changes

There has been some confusion over recent changes to recycling in Eastcott. Some residents received two almost identical leaflets with different information. Recycling isn't changing for residents in houses that are designated to be on "difficult collection routes." These are residents who don't have wheely bins. Recycling will continue as previously; with orange boxes collected weekly and plastics every two weeks.

Emma Bushell, Labour's Eastcott candidate said, "It is shame that the communications were unclear." She added, "The move to collecting recycling every two weeks is a backward step. It won't help achieve recycling targets and is likely to lead to more rubbish ending up on the streets."
