Plans for a re-designed play area in Eastern Avneue are underway, thanks to the work of local councillors Steve Allsop, Abdul Amin and Mark Dempsey. The new play equipment will replace the current outdated apparatus and give the park a new lease of life for local families.
Companies are currently being asked to submit designs for the project.
The public can view the shortlisted designs at the East Locality meeting on January 8th 2015, and then in Lainesmead School later that month.
The new play area should be open by May 2015.
