Deadline Looming: Have Your Say on Paying £70 for Green Waste Collection – Reply By 9th Dec

Swindon Borough Council are currently running a consultation (ending 9th December) on Conservative plans on the future of the household green waste collection service in the Borough. The current proposals include providing a green waste bin with an initiasl registration charge of £35 per household along with an annual £35 service charge for collection of garden waste.

Swindon Borough Council are currently running a consultation on Conservative plans on the future of the household green waste collection service in the Borough. The current proposals include providing a green waste bin with an initiasl registration charge of £35 per household along with an annual £35 service charge for collection of garden waste.

There are also proposed changes to the "orange box" kerbside recycling collections, switching from a weekly recycling pic-up to a fortnightly service.

The consultation is running via the Swindon Borough Council website (link below) and ends on 9th December 2013.
