Croft Road Planning Application Update

I opposed planning application S/OUT/14/0859 for 62 dwellings at Croft Road, as it is not in the local plan and I think this land should act as a buffer between the existing houses on Croft Road and East Wichel.

Another extension of time of the application determination date has been agreed.  A decision on this proposal should now be made by mid December.  Taylor Wimpey are awaiting the Inspector's report on the proposed modifications for the emerging local plan which is due out in mid December.  I do not believe that there will be any changes regarding the 5 year housing land supply.

The decision is almost certain to be to refuse this planning application.  It would actually be preferable for residents, if Taylor Wimpey were to withdraw the application (which I believe they are considering), as there would then be no opportunity to appeal.
I am aware that this has been going on for some time now.  As soon as I have any more news, I'll let you know.
