Cllr Nadine Watts: Community Event – Autumn Tidy and Planting in Old Town

I enjoyed taking part in the Spring Clean when  75 volunteers got involved with planting flower beds, cutting back overgrown hedges and clearing rubbish from the area.

I enjoyed taking part in the Spring Clean when  75 volunteers got involved with planting flower beds, cutting back overgrown hedges and clearing rubbish from the area.

It’s a brilliant community activity and a real team effort with local residents, council employees, SCS and local businesses, all working together.  It shows the pride we have in the area we live.  The efforts these volunteers go to, rub off on the rest of the community because they know people care.

I hope that even more people will take part in the Autumn tidy and planting event on Sunday 29 September 2-4pm.
