Lydiard and Freshbrook councillor Cindy Matthews objects to the revised potential application for housing on Hook Street which will particularly impact residents of the King Henry Drive and Mulcaster Avenue areas.

Coming just over a year since an application was rejected another battle looks likely if a formal application is made. The developer held a public consultation this week on a potential planning application for 91 homes to be built on land north of Hook Street.

Cllr Matthews says “I am very disappointed to hear about this, coming so soon after the previous appeal was rejected. The issues regarding traffic onto Hook Street, drainage and encroachment onto Lydiard Park remain.”

Comments can still be made to the developer at Pegasus House, Querns Business Centre, Whitworth Road, Cirencester, Glois, GL7 1RT or at hookstreet@pegasuspg.co.uk to arrive by Friday 3rd August 2012.
