Candidate Spotlight: Abdul Amin is your Labour Councillor and Candidate in Walcot and Park North

I am very honoured to have been elected as one of your local councillors in May 2012. I have lived in Swindon for over 24 years and run a family business here. Since I was elected as your councillor, I have been working extremely hard with the ward residents, who have been very supportive, to tackle some of the local issues.

I am very honoured to have been elected as one of your local councillors in May 2012. I have lived in Swindon for over 24 years and run a family business here. Since I was elected as your councillor, I have been working extremely hard with the ward residents, who have been very supportive, to tackle some of the local issues. I've campaigned for better road improvements, for better youth facilities, for the regeneration of Sussex Square, to improve parking facilities and to improve the children's play areas in Walcot and Park North. More specifically, I have been successful in  getting part of Frobisher Drive resurfaced and also successful in securing £10 million for Sussex Square regeneration.

I am also as supporter of the co-operative movement and it's values which can contribute to improving many areas of our public life.

If re-elected I will continue to engage and work with the local residents in the best interest of the residents in the area. Please vote for me, Abdul Amin on Thursday 22nd May.
