Local Councillors are running a competition for residents to name the new development. This is your opportunity to decide how the area will now be known.
Work is pushing ahead on the new Sussex Square development. The first stage of the project will be the building of a car park and commercial premises. The project will ultimately see new shops and flats built on the site of the old Bulldog Pub.
Councillor Abdul Amin said: “I am confident regeneration work will be completed as smoothly as possible and hopefully the local residents won’t find much difficulty in coming in and out of Sussex Square. We realise some local businesses have been affected due to road closures and we hope these issues will be resolved soon. We thank local businesses and residents for their patience while this important work is careid out which will ultimately benefit the local area”
