New Funds for Local Facilities
Labour help secure £52,000 Through partnership with local communitygroup SWAP, we have secured £52,000 to spend on new community facilities.
This money has enabled us to open a Youth Club and part fund planned new children’s football pitches on buckhurst Fields.
Time for Action on Parking and Speed limits
At our Labour Listens meeting in Walcot West we heard from residents about the parking congestion caused on match days and by town centre workers; and traffic safety on Upham Road.
Join our Pot Holes Campaign
Since we launched our Potholes campaign last year, we are delighted to have secured the resurfacing of Kingswood Avenue and many of the potholes have been repaired. However there are still big problems. The winter weather has severely damaged our roads, including Eastern Avenue, Upham Road and Frobisher Drive.
Cleaning up Walcot & Parks
We got their hands dirty again by cleaning up buckhurst Fields as part of the Clean Up Walcot and Parks initiative.
Steve is Parks born and raised and has been a Councillor since 1978.
