The next South Locality meeting will be on Wednesday 10 July 2013 at the Ellendune Centre, Wroughton. Come and talk to Councillors and officers and visit the information tables from 6.30pm, ready for the meeting to start at 7pm prompt.

Following the public consultation events in February 2013, the Local Highway Authority have been preparing a scheme for Mill Lane.  The scheme is due to start in mid June.

A combination of proposed changes to Government planning laws and Swindon Borough Council’s failure to produce a new local plan for housing could leave Wroughton at risk of merging with Swindon through unsuitable housing development.

Swindon Borough Council is conducting a Community Governance Review which is looking at the future role of parishes like Wroughton.  Feedback can range from fundamental debate on existing and potential new parishes to amendments to parish boundaries to better reflect local communities.  The deadline for submissions is September 10th and full details can be found on the council website www.swindon.gov.uk by searching for parishes review or community governance review.  We would also appreciate your input to our response so do copy us…
