Future of Wroughton post office secured!

Since last August there has been a question mark over the future of the Post Office in Wroughton.

It was one of the first issues local people raised with us when we were both selected. The prospect of the community losing this vital resource has understandably coursed much concern within the village. The post office is a crucial local asset which many residents, especially the elderly and vulnerable rely on.

In order to do what we could to represent the people of Wroughton, and safeguard the future of their post office we wrote to the chief executive of the Midcounties Co-operative to raise these concerns.

We are delighted that in response to our letter, he assured us that they have “absolutely no plans to withdraw this service”.

This is fantastic news for Wroughton!
