Councillor Fay Howard continues to serve Liden, Eldene & Park South

Twitter May 5th ‘Should have been the local election today, my last as a Councillor but instead with #Covid19UK I have a bonus year to serve my residents & #Swindon what a privilege #BringItOn‘ @CllrFay

I was due to stand down as a Councillor this year alongside a number of other Councillors. With covid restrictions meaning that the election was cancelled I am still here! I’d planned to be spending time with my first grandchild born in April. Instead in these strange new times, I see him in zoom meetings & continue to serve the residents of Liden, Eldene & Park South.
I am thankful that myself & other experienced Councillors are here to help negotiate the changes the council is having to make at this time.
Please do continue to contact myself & all Councillors if there are things we can help with.
A nurse myself I know how stressful this is for many & for others it’s frustrating just wanting things back to a more normal. As we wait, please do look after yourselves & look out for your neighbours. The Council’s information on how they are dealing with the Coronavirus is here:  https://www.swindon.gov.uk/hereforswindon
Do get in touch if you have any questions or comments.
