People in Shaw are outraged by news of the local Conservative councillors’ proposal to dispose of the Link Centre. It is scandalous that:

• The council cannot guarantee to limit future price rises to use Link Centre services.
• They will not assure us that the same facilities and sports will continue to be available.
• They can only ensure the continuing use of the Link Centre for sports for 3 years.
• They are unclear about the future of the library and community facilities.

You may think Labour would say that. However, it does not mean we shouldn’t tell you about local Conservative asset stripping!
