Swindon’s Labour Councillors are calling on Swindon Council to enforce irresponsible drivers parking on pavements.
It is illegal for motorists to park their vehicles on the pavement. However Swindon Council’s current policy is to not enforce the law.
This is a particular problem for residents with sight problems, mobility scooters or buggies, who need the full width of the pavement and it would not be safe for them to walk out on to the road.
